Alpaca Yarn

Alpaca is a wonderful fiber with many great natural attributes.  We strive to enhance those natural attributes with other natural fibers when designing our yarns.

The raw materials that go into our yarns have been sorted to very high standards, which is why the yarns we produce are so consistent and of the highest quality.

Each yarn we design has a specific end use.  We hope you enjoy the information we provide to assist you in which yarns will work best for your project.

Ultra Fine Chorus

This yarn is very fine. 

It is 45% Huacaya Alpaca, 5% Suri Alpaca, 50% Wyoming Merino.

3-ply sport weight yarn, approx. 1.9 oz./200 yds

15 WPI   5.75 – 6.5 sts/inch, using size 3-5 needles

The color is a light taupe rose grey. 

Perfect for a neutral garment or a wonderful base for dyeing.

Super Fine Luxury

For added durability for your end project The Super Fine Luxury combines, wonderful handle with a broader usability.   84% Huacaya Alpaca, 10% Suri Alpaca, 6% Wool.

3-ply DK weight yarn, approx 3.5 oz./200 yds

13 WPI   5.5-6 sts/inch, using size 4-6 needles

Woolen spun for increased insulation and light weight.

Fine Sport

This is the work horse yarn.  It still feels really good , but will wear extremely well.  90% Huacaya Alpaca, 5% Suri, 5% Wool.

4-ply medium weight yarn, approx 125 yds/3.5 oz       

10 WPI   4-5 sts/inch, using size 6-8 needles

Available Colors:  Fawn, Grey, Medium Rose Grey and Dark Rose Grey.  White is sold out.

Super Fine Airy

Airy is the perfect word to describe this light yet drapy yarn.   76% Huacaya Alpaca, 4% Suri Alpaca, 20% SoysilkTM 

3.5 oz (100 gram) skeins.  2 ply fingering weight 5.75 - 6.5 sts/inch on needle size #3 - #5.  Appx 350 yds per skein 

BEST USES:   Lace weight, lightweight/ summer weight, shells, shawls, scarves, cover ups.
